South Middle School
"Home of the Rebels!"
Enrollment:  701

Principal, Larry Stevens
Assistant Principal, Jeanne Deming

The goal of South Middle School is to provide a program of academic excellence for every child. Each child is unique and special; at the same time all middle school children have certain characteristics in common. Excellence is achieved in our school because facilities, curriculum, programs, and relationships are built upon the common needs of our children. They are at the heart of every decision, every program, and every day.

KOTA Care and Share Food DriveUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
As we quickly approach the Holiday Season, we take time to remember those who are less fortunate than others. With that said, we are now collecting canned good items and non-perishable food items to donate to the K.O.T.A CARE AND SHARE FOOD DRIVE. We are asking students to bring in items to their 5th period classes. We will then count and collect the items for each class. The class that brings in the highest percentage of items per student, will win a class prize! We will collect items from Today thru December 14th.
Character CountsUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
Attention students and staff, remember this month's character counts theme is respect. Respect means to follow the golden rule, use good manners, treat others kindly, be tolerant and accept differences, and more. Every week two students from each grade who has represented this theme will be drawn to receive a sweet treat. This week's winners are:
6th grade: Jaime Howe and Hannah Isbell
7th grade: Harper Keim and Selena Rose
8th grade: Justice Robideau and Mark Hollander

All winners will receive their prize on Monday during lunch.
