Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, Rapid City Area Schools will be implementing an online registration process for returning students in grades Kindergarten through 8th. This is a continuation of the paperless initiative the district has incorporated over the past several years.
For returning students, the Student Information Verification form that is usually sent out by the schools to be corrected and returned the first week of August will be done electronically using the Skyward Family Access Portal, beginning June 1.
If you are a parent who has never used Skyward Family Access Portal, you will need to request a Family Access account. You can do this by contacting your child’s school or on our website at www.RCAS.org/Parents & Students/Parent/Family Student Access.
For students new to Rapid City Area Schools, please fill out an Account Request. You will receive your credentials via email (if provided) or in a pop-up window to continue the registration process. **Note: you will be required to bring the following to the school to finish the registration process: Birth Certificate, Immunization Record, Social Security Card, Proof of Residency.
High School students new to Rapid City Area Schools will fill out the form below. Contact the Registrar at your school to schedule an appointment to complete the registration process.
