It is time to sign up for Intramural Basketball. See Mr. Conrad in the Math Dept. D222 for a roster. Al rosters need to be turned in by Dec 19th.  12/19

Atlantis, Seven Wonder's of the World, Once Upon a Time, Masquerade...What do you want your 2009 Prom Theme to be?  Juniors and Seniors we will be selecting a theme today @ 4pm.  The meeting will be in the SHS commons.  12/11

Merry Christmas!  Central High School Room B122 is rolling out its famous Cobbler Christmas Ornaments for sale during your lunch hour.  These ornaments are reasonably priced, and make great gifts.  We can personalize them with names, dates, or whatever.  Look for our Christmas tree table in the Commons near the beverage machines at lunch time. 12/12

Interested in putting your artistic talents to the test?  Partnership Rapid City is looking for students to design a logo and flier contest for Career Daze.  The contest winner will be the lucky recipient of a Wii and game package.  For contest rules please see Jessica Dial in Rm D218.  Entries must be submitted by February 1st.  12/11

The Rapid City Public Library offers computer gaming on December 16th from 3:15 to 5pm at the North Library and December 17th at the Downtown Library from 3-5.  Includes Wii, Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution.  12/11

Seniors applying for college and scholarships with late December or early January deadlines should keep in mind that the Central Guidance Office will be closed for the Winter Break.  Winter Break is Dec 22, 2008 - January 2, 2009. December 12 , 2008 is the deadline for seniors requesting applications & transcripts to be processed through the Guidance office and mailed before the beginning of Winter Break.  12/12

The Native American Culture groups will meet today at 3:30pm in the Lakolkiciyapi room. 12/11

RSVP is looking for some students that would like to gift wrap at either K-Mart or Toys R Us. They will be gift wrapping from Dec 12 until Christmas Eve. If interested please call 394-2507. 12/12

Skippy’s Holiday Tuna & Peanut Butter Drive is going on now! The food banks of Rapid City are running near an all-time low. Though they will take anything, there is a high demand for high protein items like peanut butter and canned tuna. Ms. Pickering’s High School 101 class is running a school-wide food drive for these supplies as a community service project. From December 9th through December 18th, receptacles for peanut butter and canned tuna will be located in the commons at Central High School. Donations from the community can be dropped off at the main entrance. All donations will be greatly appreciated.  12/12

Seniors, if you are interested in applying to USD, they will be waiving the application fee if you apply by this Fri Dec.12th. A representative will be here on Fri. to pick up the applications and waive the application fee. See your counselor if you have any questions. 12/11

The Girls Club will be closed tomorrow Friday Dec. 12th for in service. 12/12
